Stroke Play Championship - Chenal Country Club, June 16-18
ELIGIBILITY: This championship is open to male amateur golfers who
are ASGA individual members who have a USGA handicap index of 8.0 or less. The
minimum age is 16 and non-residents are not eligible, with the following
exception: a person may live across the state line, such as Texarkana, Texas,
but must be a member of the Texarkana Country Club and an individual member of
AS GA.
ENTRY FEE: The entry fee is $175 per player, plus $7.00 transaction
fee for online registration, includes golf for three tournament rounds,
and range balls.
Contestants may also register by printing the entry form
from the web site & mail to P.O. Box 30250, Little Rock, 72260. Players
desiring the use of rental carts the first two rounds must submit an additional
$33. Players making the cut that desire to ride must pay a car fee for the final
round.
ENTRY DEADLINE: The entry deadline is Wednesday, June 7 or 100 players,
whichever comes first.
CHAMPIONSHIP FORMAT: Contestants will play 18 holes Friday, June 16 and
Saturday, June 17 at . The field will be cut to the low 40 golfers and ties for
Sunday's final round. In the event of inclement weather, the ASGA reserves the
right to reduce this championship to 36 holes, with a cut after one round. The
player with the low 54-hole total will be the 2005 ASGA Stroke Play Champion.
Ties for low score will have an immediate sudden-death playoff.
Drew Laning is the defending champion.
PRACTICE ROUND: Contestants can play a practice round on Thursday, June
15th by reserving a tee time and paying a cart fee. Please call the golf shop at
501-821-7565 to reserve a practice round tee time. PLEASE DO NOT "SHOW-UP" AT ON JUNE 15TH
AND EXPECT TO PLAY A PRACTICE ROUND - CALL IN ADVANCE TO RESERVE A TEE TIME.

CARTS/CADDIES: Players must make their own arrangements for caddies.
Players desiring the use of rental carts must "reserve cart" on the entry
form and include and additional $33 for the first two rounds. Reservations
are based on two players per cart. The ASGA is committed to furnish carts only
to those who reserve carts. For players making the cut, the final round cart fee
must be paid in the pro shop.
STARTING TIMES: Could begin as early as 7:30 a.m. each day.
TROPHIES/GIFT CERTIFICATES: The Champion will receive custody of the E. B.
Gee Trophy for one year. The winner and runner-up will also receive individual
trophies.
The top 25 will receive merchandise certificates that are redeemable at Chenal
Country Club pro shop..
