 I understand that my entry is subject to rejection at any time (including during the Championship) by the ASGA or RidgePointe Country Club.  The reason for rejection may include unbecoming conduct.  Any questions shall be settled by the ASGA, whose decision is final.  I hereby acknowledge that the Arkansas State Golf Association and the host club are not responsible for personal injury during this Championship.  I have read the USGA Rules of Amateur Status and I conform with those rules in every respect. 

   


 ELIGIBILITY: This championship is open to male amateur golfers who are ASGA individual members who have a USGA handicap index of 8.0 or less. The minimum age is 16 and non-residents are not eligible, with the following exception:  a person may live across the state line, such as Texarkana, Texas, but must be a member of the Texarkana Country Club and an individual member of AS GA.

 ENTRY FEE: The entry fee is $175 per player, plus $7.00 transaction fee for online registration,  includes golf for three tournament rounds, and range balls.  Contestants may also register online at www.asga.org or by printing this entry form and mailing to P.O. Box 30250, Little Rock, 72260. Players desiring the use of rental carts the first two rounds must submit an additional $30. Players making the cut that desire to ride must pay a car fee for the final round.

ENTRY DEADLINE: The entry deadline is Wednesday, June 4, 2008 or 100 players, whichever comes first.

CHAMPIONSHIP FORMAT: Contestants will play 18 holes Friday, June 13 and Saturday, June 14. The field will be cut to the low 40 golfers and ties for Sunday's final round. In the event of inclement weather, the ASGA reserves the right to reduce this championship to 36 holes, with a cut after one round. The player with the low 54-hole total will be the 2007 ASGA Stroke Play Champion. Ties for low score will have an immediate sudden-death playoff.  Beau Glover is the defending champion.

PRACTICE ROUND: Contestants can play a practice round on Thursday, June 12th by reserving a tee time and paying a cart fee. Please call the golf shop at 870-931-4114 to reserve a practice round tee time. PLEASE DO NOT "SHOW-UP"  ON JUNE 14TH AND EXPECT TO PLAY A PRACTICE ROUND - CALL IN ADVANCE TO RESERVE A TEE TIME.  Adam Carney is the PGA Golf  Professional.

CARTS/CADDIES: Players must make their own arrangements for caddies. Players desiring the use of rental carts must "reserve cart" on the entry form and include and additional $30 for the first two rounds. Reservations are based on two players per cart. The ASGA is committed to furnish carts only to those who reserve carts. For players making the cut, the final round cart fee must be paid in the pro shop.

STARTING TIMES: Could begin as early as 7:30 a.m. each day.

TROPHIES/GIFT CERTIFICATES: The Champion will receive custody of the E. B. Gee Trophy for one year. The winner and runner-up will also receive individual trophies. The top 25 will receive merchandise certificates that are redeemable at RidgePointe Country Club pro shop..

PLAYER DINNER:  The ASGA will host a player's dinner on Thursday, June 12 at RidgePointe Country Club which is included in the entry.  Spouses/guests are $20.00 extra per person.

PAR 3 CONTEST/COOKOUT:  For the first time, the ASGA will have a par 3 contest Thursday afternoon on holes 16,17, & 18.  Holes 16 & 18 will be converted into par 3s.  A hamburger cookout or barbecue will be held in conjunction with the par 3 contest on the patio above 18 green.  Players/spectators can watch all three holes fro this patio area.  The fee for the Par 3 contest/cookout is $20.  No charge for spouses compliments of the ASGA.  Prizes will be awarded for the par 3 contest.  The ASGA and RidgePointe Golf Professional Adam Carney want to make this a fun and relaxing evening on the eve of the 94th ASGA Stroke Play Championship.  Players must sign up for the par 3 contest in advance.
