What takes most of us golfers a life time playing the game we call golf, took this excited nurse from RidgePointe Country Club in Jonesboro only 10 days to make two. That's right 2 holes-in-one in a span of only ten days. Mrs. Doris Stevens was playing in a Susan G. Komen Tournament at Crowley Ridge Country Club in Wynne, AR on August 24, 2005 and on hole number 12 she sank her first one. "My witnesses were Audra Williams and Gin Thomas. I could not see the green so Audra told me where to aim. It was an awesome feeling to walk up there and get my ball out of the hole." "On Saturday, September 03, 2005, I was playing in our club championship at RidgePointe Country Club in Jonesboro when I hit another hole-in-one on hole 15. It was witnessed by Sharon McDonaugh, Linda Parchman and Kathleen Walter. I saw the ball hit the green and disappear and I thought it went off the back of the green, but it went in the hole. Needless to say there was alot of screaming and jumping going on. What a great game! I am an Intensive Care R.N., so I do not get to play as often as I would like. I have been playing 7 years and love the game." Congratulations Mrs. Stevens!!! Don't stop, keep those ace's coming. |
