Effective January 1, 2002, the USGA Handicap System will allow clubs the option to have their members occasionally post scores Via the Internet. The USGA and the ASGA encourage golfers to post their scores where they are played however, this is a great new option for returning scores. If a golfer is a member of a club that allows it, scores can be posted directly to GHIN through this Web Site www.ghin.com . The scores will immediately become part of the golfers scoring record and will be at the club's handicap computer the next time it connects to the GHIN network, which should be at least once a week.
This is an exciting new feature that has been asked for for many years and now comes to you as an added service to our individual members.
In order to be able to Post On-Line, as stated above the CLUB MUST ALLOW AND APPROVE IT'S MEMBERS TO POST ON-LINE. In order to do so the club must have the new 2002 GHIN Handicap Software package and then notify the ASGA that it will allow it's members to post on-line. You may notify Mac Stubbs, Director of Handicapping either by writing him at ASGA, #3 Eagle Hill Court, Suite B, Little Rock, AR 72210 or email me at mac@asga.org. or simply click below to fill out the form. We must have it in writing from each clubs handicap committee before we can set that club up to allows it's members to post on-line.
Together the USGA and the ASGA are making changes and all for the betterment of golf. If you have an idea tells us about it by clicking on the Idea Button below. We would love to hear from you.
