1998 FINAL POINT STANDINGS FOR 1998

Fox North Little Rock's Sarah Hardison wrapped up her second consecutive ASGA Junior Girls Player of the Year title with a victory in late July at the Conway Country Club Junior Invitational. Hardison finished the year with 606 points. Melissa Holland of Little Rock was second with 528.5. Hardison won six championships this summer including the Harrison Junior Stroke, the AWGA Junior Stroke, the Bill Blackwell, the USGA Junior Girls Amateur Qualifying, the Independent Insurance Agents Junior Classic (IIAJC) Qualifying and Conway. She also had five other top-five finishes including 2nd at the Bruce Jenkins, 4th at Monticello, 2nd at Burns Park, 2nd at the Greater Little Rock and 5th at the Ben I. Mayo. Recently, she made the cut at the USGA Junior Girls Amateur at the Merion Golf Club in Ardmore, Pennsylvania, before losing her first round match. Next week she'll compete at the IIAJC at Oak Tree in Edmond, Oklahoma. |
