2019 SGAA Loyd Ramer Memorial


Format:

36 holes of individual stroke play. Your entry fee includes green and cart fees/range balls, lunch after the final round, player reception and flight prizes.

Starting Times:

Day 1 (Tuesday) will be tee times beginning at 12:00 pm with local players teeing off first giving those travelling a great distance to drive in Tuesday morning. Wednesday’s final round will be an AM shotgun start (TIME POSTED on SCOREBOARD and ANNOUNCED at PLAYER RECEPTION.)

Pairings:

Pairings will be assigned based on your individual handicap for day 1, and will be reshuffled based on round 1 scores for the second day. Information regarding the event, including first round pairings, will be emailed to players – please make sure you list your email address on the registration form. If you do not have an email address, you may call the ASGA office on Friday, June 22 at 501-455-2742.

Practice Rounds:

A practice round may be played at Pleasant Valley anytime the week before or another time with approval of the golf shop; but not on Saturday or Sunday and the club is closed on Monday, June 25. PV offers a reduced rate of $60 to play a practice round, which includes cart and range balls for warmup. To schedule a practice round time please call the Golf Shop at 501-225-2234.

Tees:

Players age 50-59 will play from the WHITE tees (6,400 yds). Players age 60-74 will play from the BLACK tees (6,000 yds). Players age 75-84 and older will play from the GREEN tees (5,400 yds). Anyone 85 and older will also play the GREEN set of tees.

Flights:

Players will be flighted at the conclusion of the first round of play. Flights will be determined based on field size. The SGAA will award approximately 1/3 of the field in PVCC gift certificates.

Awards:

The competitor with the lowest 36-hole gross score will be named the champion and the lowest 36-hole gross score for competitors ages 80 and over receives the Ross Holiman Award. Both players receive crystal glass trophies.

Lunch:

Lunch will be provided to all players after Wednesday’s final round.

Player Reception:

Following Round 1 Tuesday, all competitors and their spouses are welcome to join us at Pleasant Valley for the Players Reception with complimentary beer, wine and heavy appetizers. Dress will be casual attire.
