2020 ASGA/AWGA Women's Four-Ball Championship
Covid-19 – The ASGA will be utilizing unique practices to assist in social distancing, these include but are not limited to a single golf cart for each competitor that choose to ride (this includes all sides/teammates, whether traveling together or separately), no traditional scoreboard and no traditional awards ceremony. Caddies will not be allowed during this year’s Championship and all spectators must walk. Local rules will be put into place to address bunker rakes, flagsticks, scoring, etc. That information will be available to competitors in advance to the competition. Please contact the ASGA with any additional questions.
Eligibility – Players competing in this Championship are required to be current individual members of the Arkansas State Golf Association and a current member of a club or golf association that is also a member. The two players are not required to be a member of the same club
Format and Starting Times – The format is 36 holes of four-ball stroke play. Tee times will be used for both rounds beginning at 9:00 a.m.
Divisions – New in 2020, we will have two sets of tees available based on age. Women 59 & Under will play at approximately 5,100 yards and Women 60 & Up will play from approximately 4,800 yards. All in the same championship. Teammates may play from different sets of tees.
Entry Fee – The entry fee of $200.00 includes all tournament rounds, range balls and a prize pool for each division (Championship and Other) – Due to Covid-19 there will be no lunch provided either day and no social gatherings of any kind.
Entry Deadline – The application and entry fee must reach the ASGA office, P. O. Box 30250, Little Rock, AR 72260, no later than 4:00 p.m. Friday, September 11th, 2020. It is permissible to copy this entry form, if necessary. Late or incomplete entries will not be accepted. The field size is limited.
Practice Round – A practice round is available by calling the Red Apple Pro Shop at 501-362-3131 and reserving a tee time. Each player will have to pay a reduced rate green fee.
Flights – Number of flights will be determined by the number of entries and all teams will be flighted following the first round of competition. Prizes will be paid out in Red Apple Golf Shop merchandise credit to approximately 1/3rd of the field.
