ASGA Senior Men's Championship
ELIGIBILITY: Open tomale and female amateur golfers who are individual members of the ASGA. The minimum age is 50 for the Arkansas Senior Amateur Championship, non-residents are not eligible, except a person maylive in Texarkana, Texas but MUST be a member of Texarkana C.C. &an individual member of the ASGA. ENTRY DEADLINE: Sept. 8 at 4:00 p.m. or until the field is full, whichever comes first.
TEEMARKERS: Seniors will play from approximately 6,500 yards at Ponce de Leon (Blue Tee Yardage on scorecard). Simmons BankTee Markers will be placed on the appropriate tees.
ENTRY FEE: $250 per player includes 1 SEAT ON ACART and range balls for warm-up for al three tournament rounds. There is not a 36-hole cut
SCHEDULEOFPLAY: 18 holes on Friday, September 15, 18 holes on Saturday, September 16 and 18 holes on Sunday, September 17. The stipulated round each day is 9-holes and in the event of inclement weather, a "tournament round" could consist of 9 holes if all players in that division play thesame 9 holes. fI the field is large, the ASGA reserves the right to pre-pair golfers for the first and second rounds in a "flip-flop" pairing format. The ASGA also reserves the right to use a "shot-gun" start for the final round. In the event of inclement weather, the ASGA reserves the right to reduce this championship to 36 holes. days so enter early toguarantee aspot. The minimum size of the Senior Division is 6 (Six) for this championship to be held.
PRACTICEROUND:O n e practice round is available for Thursday, September 14 for a "cart" fee or a reduced fee. Special thanks to Tom Heffer, PGA Director of Golf and to Mike Socha, PGA Golf Professional. The pro shop number is 501-922-4250.
TROPHIES/CERTIFICATES: The winner and runner-up wil receive trophies. Ties for 1St settled by playoff -all others split. Ponce de Leon Pro Shop Gift Certificates will be awarded to the low finishers.
LODGING: Hot Springs Village books golf only. Lodging can be secured by going through any of the numerous businesses in the Village that have property to rent such as VRBO, Village Villas, AirBnB, Hot Springs Village Rentals, etc. HV does have a relationship with Village Villas (501) 922-0303 and all lodging can be booked through their offices. There are numerous hotels in Hot Springs as well including Oaklawn Racing Casino Hotel, who also has a business relationship with HSV. To reach Oaklawn, call (501) 623-4411.
