2020 Junior Match Play Championship

The 2020 Arkansas Junior Match Play has concluded after another fabulous week at Eagle Hill Golf and Athletic Club. Congratulations to our two 2020 champions Rhett South and Mackenzie Lee.

Mackenzie won the event for her third consecutive year as she defeated Anna Kate Nichols 7 & 5 to retain her title. Mackenzie has had quite the summer as she has won multiple AJGA events, as well as our Junior Amateur Championship in June. Mackenzie plans to play in more AJGA events this summer and we look forward to watching her compete in those events. As for the boys, it was Rhett South of Fayetteville who took home the crown this year. 2019 Champion Blaine Calhoon, has gone on to play collegiately at the University of Central Arkansas and was not eligible this year. Rhett had an incredible week as he played a total of seven rounds of golf over the course of four days. Rhett defeated Samuel Tandy 2 & 1 in the final match of the week on Thursday afternoon. Rhett has played very well in ASGA tournaments this year as he finished second in our Junior Amatruer Championship last month. Congratulations to both Mackenzie and Rhett and we are excited to see them attempt to defend their titles next year!
