The Arkansas State Golf Association and the First Tee of Central Arkansas are pleased to announce the award winners of the newly established Arnold Palmer Scholarship. The recipients and their colleges of choice are:

- Jennifer Matthews, The Education Alliance, Harding University
- Shawn Parker, Jr., North Little Rock High School, Hendrix College
- Andrew Gaspard, Bryant High School, Hendrix College
June is Women’s Golf Month. It is a global initiative to celebrate and promote women in golf started early this June with Women’s Golf Day, which Elisa Gaudet founded in 2016. Gaudet’s Women’s Golf Day goal is to unite, create opportunities, and support female golfers. A notable former ASGA junior golfer, Hannah Bakalekos, is working towards attaining her PGA certification to further her passion and love for golf!
Simmons Bank has signed a five-year presenting sponsorship agreement with the Arkansas State Golf Association (ASGA). As part of the partnership, a new amateur event, the Simmons Bank Cup, has been established. The inaugural, Ryder Cup-style tournament was held at the TPC Southwind golf course in Memphis, Tennessee on April 11–13, 2021. The annual tournament matched amateur champions from the ASGA and the Tennessee Golf Association (TGA). After many hard-fought matches, team TGA defeated team ASGA 19 - 9.
